Boost Mobile x Amazon: Launching the First eSIM Experience Online
Designing for a historic collaboration between Boost and Amazon

Context & Stakes
Amazon teamed up with Boost Mobile to launch a groundbreaking new offer: for the first time, customers could purchase and activate a Boost eSIM plan directly through Amazon. That meant no physical SIM card—everything, including the mobile plan and installation, happened digitally. It marked a shift in how phone services could be bought and delivered online. Our Consumer Electronics team was chosen to lead the initiative, and my manager brought me in to support the marketing efforts with design.

I was tasked with creating banner designs for high-traffic placements across Amazon—everything from the homepage to key category pages. While the messaging and some initial design concepts had already been drafted, my role was to refine and implement visuals that honored both brands and met Amazon’s standards.
Because the campaign lived on Amazon’s platform, I leaned into Amazon’s clean, conversion-focused design system while layering in Boost’s bold, high-energy look. The final banners featured Boost’s signature orange and black with Amazon-friendly layouts that guided users smoothly into the eSIM flow. I finished early, which allowed me to support teammates with landing page design and other pieces of the broader campaign. It helped us present a more cohesive and polished campaign overall. I also had the opportunity to sit in on cross-functional meetings with the Boost team and more senior Amazon stakeholders—an exciting and educational part of the process for me.
My Role

Impact
This project launched the first fully digital eSIM experience from Boost on Amazon—a milestone for both companies. While metrics weren’t shared at the time, the launch was recognized internally as a big step forward in how Amazon could offer services, not just physical products. I was proud to play a role in delivering something that blended great design, cross-brand collaboration, and tech innovation.
