Franklin GraphicTypography Poster

This assignment was to make a poster showcasing a typeface in my first ever typographic class. I chose to showcase the classic serif font, Franklin Gothic because it was used for many movie posters. This typeface was used in the movie poster for ‘The Dark Knight.’ This movie was my inspiration for this typeface poster. I used a photo of Batman and of Gotham City and changed their color to a monochrome purple to give it a nighttime feel. The leading in the title is spread out to reflect ‘The Dark Knight’ original poster.
